Evergreen Valley sent four individuals to the day one of the CCS wrestling championships on Friday at Independence High School:
112 pounds: Senior Jordan Benigno was pinned in the first round of the championships bracket by Jarron Ramirez of Palma and is now 2-1 in the consolation bracket.
160 pounds: BVAL champ Ezra Calumpit lost by a 6-2 decision to King City's Eric Ochoa, but is still alive in the consolation bracket after two victories.
215 pounds: Sophomore Kevin Nguyen lost to Cori Colton of North Monterey County in the first round by a 2-0 decision and fell to Mt. Pleasant's Scott Brasil in the second consolation round.
285 pounds: Heavyweight Emmanuel Scott was pinned in the second round by Luis Barragan of Gilroy, but has won his both of his consolation matches with pins.
